Hilborough FP 3 Obstructed and Unusable

Reported in the Footpaths/ Rights of way (usually not tarmac) category by Robert Whittaker at 08:59, Mon 8 February 2016

Sent to Norfolk County Council 1 minute later

The Definitive line of Hilborough FP 3 is obstructed in several places by barbed wire fences, undergrowth and standing water, making the route impassable.

There is a grass track between two fences that can be used from the A1065 end, although this is not on the definitive line. There is a stile over the eastern fence, but this has only one upright, no cross-piece, and exposed barbed wire.

Once over this stile there is no clear route to take. The remaining section to Cockley Cley Road (U33309) is obstructed by undergrowth, wetland and another barbed wire fence (this time with no stile at all). I was unable to get through anywhere.

(Photos of the stile and the view from the Cockley Cley Road end are on the FIxMyStreet website.)
