Very poor drainage at pedestrian crossing (west side)

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 12:33, Fri 5 February 2016

Sent to Tower Hamlets Borough Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 761210.

With any moderate amount of rain a huge puddle forms across the dropped pavement at the crossing at the junction of Milligan Street and Limehouse Causeway (west side of the street). This has been the case for at least a year.

The excess water causes a navigation hazard for cars, bikes and pushes pedestrians away from the crossing itself - dangerously so given the foot traffic to the nearby primary school and nursery.

The junction is already not ideal, having been changed by the introduction of a mini-roundabout. It would probably benefit from clearer road markings at least.
