Double dose of flyposting on public property

Reported via desktop in the Flyposting category anonymously at 19:25, Friday 23 May 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7611353.

Two for the price of one.

1) Was permission given for the 'AA' type Southview property sign? If it was, is it still even valid (the city is awash with these property development signs that are past their sell-by date & just add to the street clutter - with clearly no GCC enforcement, why?)

2) Mr Monoblock (a fresh sign) is a serial offender and has been for years now. Reported endlessly, either GCC intervened and he's ignored it or, more likely, GCC did a big fat zero (as per).

So, as per the 2021-2026 action plan, please phone 0141 550 1100 now. and get him to remove his latest batch (guaranteed they will be all over Dumbarton Rd / Anniesland Cross / Crow Rd).

Failure to do so by him, fine. The council need the dosh. Failure to do so by GCC, a formal complaint goes in.

1 phone call. 5 mins. Your call, literally...

  • Oh, and what's the point of that CCTV camera if you don't use it catch flyposting & other illegal activity? It's clearly not a deterrent (see also graffiti on the opposite side.)
