Trees encroaching into the carriageway around bus shelter

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 13:45, Wed 21 May 2025

Sent to Halton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7600235.

Trees are encroaching into the carriageway causing contact with buses at the risk of breaking windscreens and destination blind glass. There are two particularly thick dangerous branches in question. Our next course of action will be to inform the council that the bus stop will not be serviced due to the lack of safe accessibility for our customers.

Updates

  • There has been no development in this issue. Two large branches are still encroaching into the path of our vehicles at Sandy Lane, Pavilions bus stop ID: halagatp. Please see photos attached where our vehicle was involved in a close encounter with these branches. Two vehicles have now had smashed destination glass incidents and mirror arm issues.

Thank you Arriva Runcorn Risk Team
