Bushes overgrowing path

Reported via Android in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 21:57, Tue 20 May 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7597549.

The bushes and trees alongside the path have been maintained until the pandemic in 2020. Since then it is growing uncontrollably and in places obstructing the path. Those thorny bushes prevent local volunteer litter pickers to clean regular rubbish after football fans and in winter people reported rats. Would it be possible to do one huge cutting and trimming or even better reinstate regular maintenance from the London road all the way down to Clyde. Many thanks

Updates

  • THe vegetation is now taking more then a half of the path. people can walk in a single file or step on the mud/grass next to the path (which is used by dogs mainly).
