Directional signs that need cleaning

Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 16:05, Tue 2 February 2016 using FixMyStreet Pro

The road signs at this location (in line with many others on OCC's strategic road network) are absolutely filthy, to the extent that they cannot be read. What is the programme for cleaning signs ?

The same is true of all roundabouts, where the integrated black and white chevron marking cannot be seen. When are they due to be cleaned?

  • Oxfordshire County Council have in previous years carried out a programme of sign cleaning but unfortunately due to our current budget restrictions we are no longer able to do this, we do however endeavour to ensure that regulatory signage is kept clean. Advisory signs are only cleaned when funding is available, I regret that there is currently no funding available to clean the signs at this location. I have visited the site and can confirm that the signs are currently legible.
