At 1pm on Friday 16th May 2025, i visited my mums at 12 Lodge Road Talke pits and 2 neighbours were out in the street outside my mums house with a hugh concern i was told a white telecommincations van had mou ted the pavement ,and dislodged tbe heavy trangular iron over from the 3 mertre deep Severn Trent foul water insoection grid. The vehicle had driven iff with out reporting it . The now uncovered deep shaft presented a severe hazard to adult and child pedestrians .Neighbours foubd 2 unused traffic warning codes and one neighbour added 2 small railings to act as a warning. Staffirdshire police were calked and incident number was recorded 355. John Honey set MBE called Staffordshire County Council and spoke to operator Sylvia priving her with full details .She logged the incident and said some one would be out with in 2 hours to make the site safe .No one came so neighbours men folk worked hard to move this iron cover that required a machine to lift it. They used spades and other tools to nanage to manover the iron trangular back in to its correct position leaving cones on top to mark the site . It was akso attached with heavy concrete .This poor response by responsible authorities to this potentially dangerous incident wants investigating and accountability for whos responsible for this .

This is believed to be Kelly Communication contracted to B.T 19/5/2025 Mr Patry from Lightsfeed contactor working on the DP said that the kelly driver must have known thst his vehicle had dragged the heavy iron cover and housing off( conctrete) the indspection chamber of the United Utulities equipment. John Honeysett M.E.B spent 1 hour on the phone in the morning trying to speak to human being to reinstate this inspection cover and its housing (thick conctrete pulled away with the cover) to no avail. His wife kindly used her PC to advise United Utilities ,Warrington of the harendous situation that is now not fixed and was not made safe by officials responsible .
