Unmarked footpath unmaintained and dangerous

The footpath between ///dentistry.hunk.building and ///outsmart.basically.fleet is unsignposted and totally unmaintained. At ///guidebook.megawatt.condensed there is a flight of steps where the treads have rotted and the handrail is at the point of collapse. This is dangerous and a hazard to users.

Investigation: Ongoing - Thank you for your enquiry. We can confirm we will raise a works order for the steps to be repaired .at present we are in the process of contacting the the landowner for access to the site for repairs to take place .
Also thank you for bringing the matter of the signs to our attention we can confirm that it is our legal responsibility is to ensure that the public right of way are signposted from the highway, additional waymarkers are only installed in locations that are deemed absolutely necessary.

Thank you for confirming that you will raise a works order for repair of the steps. However, the path itself is overgrown and impassable on account of nettles and brambles. Please confirm that you have contacted the landowner to enforce compliance with the legal obligation to keep footpaths open.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for enquiry we can confirm that a rights of way officer for this area has carried out a site inspection and we can confirm a works order has been raised to repair the existing steps. also the footpath vegetation will be cut back .
