Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7581235.

The speed people drive towards carnage from Holmes chapel village is well over 30mph and means we can’t get off our drive easily and feel like we take our lives into our own hands every time we leave the house by car. Please can we have a slow sign, or a speed bump or some mirrors or all three to help the local residents of Knutsford Road safely pull out of our drives.

A little further past our house the road changes to 50mph and as soon as drivers leave the village they start to accelerate. It feels like an accident waiting to happen as soon as we pull out when the road is clear but if drivers heading towards us are speeding the collision is unavoidable

We also get a lot of abuse from drivers when there are near misses as they feel we are in the wrong as on the wrong side of the road but the road was clear when we pull off the drive/footpath

We also get abuse pulling onto the drive as we remain slow round the bend to enable us to safely pull over and park but often drivers drive too close and beep when through we are indicating.

Helpful traffic signage for speed control would help us massively

Thank you
