Path obstructed thorny brambles along path

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7575552.

Large section of path obstructed by over hanging branches, thorny brambles and over 50% of path covered in layers of leaves etc. The rest of the pathway has been cleared except this section.

  • Investigation: Ongoing - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location, and we are undertaking a landownership investigation and will update you shortly.

  • As every other section of this pathway has been cleared by either council or the company directly adjacent to it, I’m unsure why the investigation is so difficult. In the meantime pedestrians cyclists etc are getting snagged on thorns etc and having to walk on the grass and mud

  • Investigation: Ongoing (Reported to a third party) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that the vegetation is the responsibility of the landowner. In accordance with the WNC Network Management Plan, we will contact the landowner and request they cut back their vegetation within 14 days of receipt of our correspondence. We will reinspect the vegetation to ensure they have complied.
