Poor state of area after felled trees

The grass banks have been left looking unsightly after trees were recent felled along the grass bank. The whole of Little Billing Way is tree lined and ‘green’ but now this huge void has been left after felling the trees in this section. Why could the trees have not been cut back? Was there a need to fell them completely? If there was a need to fell them then can smaller trees and / or bushes be planted in their place to fill this now void area? It looks a complete eyesore how it’s been left. Furthermore, the grass area needs reseeding as leaving the wood chippings there from the felled trees looks a mess and won’t encourage grass growth. Please rectify this unsightly mess you’ve left behind.
