A large pothole on New Bedford Road north bound between the pedestrian crossing and the Riddy Lane roundabout

Reported via desktop in the Potholes category anonymously at 09:57, Wed 7 May 2025

Sent to Luton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7532907.

I hit the pothole this morning, I don't know how long it has been there for. The pothole is deep enough that the wheel dropped into it with a 'bang' and a significant jolt. It is quite close to the kerb (maybe 0.5 to 1.0 metres from the kerb), a cyclist would probably have an accident if they hit it and I suspect it would be right in their path. From the noise, it may have been by a man-hole cover. I didn't spot the pothole as it is just on the approach to the roundabout and I was focussed on the traffic coming from the right.
