Gate locked Blocking access to footpath
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7531282.
WE have been using this footpath for years and recently, walked the path south to north and on reaching this gate found it illegally locked. All path markings have also been removed. This was first noticed 2weeks ago, checking again this evening noticed the lock still in place.

Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - Thankyou for your enquiry we can confirm that a rights of way officer for this area has carried out a site inspection and at the time of the inspection the gate was open and usable . I have also spoken to the land owner and reminded them of there statuary duties
to keep the right open and passable at all times . we shall continue to monitor this location as a part of our ongoing inspection regime .
