Overgrown grass
Reported via iOS in the Grass Cutting category anonymously at 19:32, Mon 5 May 2025
Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7525359.
Dogs are fouling in the overgrown grass and it’s unsightly. The new trees which look so lovely are being encroached on. Please could a neat short cut be done, especially if it’s the plan to do ‘no mow May’

The council decided to cut the grass however what a bodge job!!! Absolutely despicable. How dare you take our council tax then do a shoddy job ie couldn’t care less. Suggest yous rot it.

The grass has been shown a mower but the standard is incredibly poor, and shouldn’t be allowed to be classed as a job which is done. The council use public funds to pay for the contractors and the job is well below acceptable standards. My council tax has increased 40% in 7 years and I don’t see where the money has gone.

I have actually re-logged the same problem as it has only been shown a mower once since the original complaint and the job was shockingly poor. Local residents have now taken the time and effort to mow along the roadside, but true roundabout and at the ends of the road the grass is horribly overgrown and full of weeds

I’m now logging the same issue on a daily basis to encourage some action. It’s a disgrace, and neighbours are questioning what we pay our council tax for when basics such as maintaining green spaces to an acceptable standard are not done.
