Obstacle near bus stop

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 08:59, Sun 24 January 2016

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council 1 minute later

There has been a large, square, yellow, plastic lid on the pavement for months, by the bus stop outside Café Latte. It had one or two sandbags on, one of which became damaged and no remedial works were done. Now there are several sandbags and barriers. This is an obstacle and an eyesore. The broken sandbag was left in place.

Updates

  • Central Beds reported this to BT and Open Reach have completed their repairs and made a good job of it (photo 1). However they could have cleaned up around the new cover a little better as there is still a muddy stain.

They also left a warning sign outside a house in High Street which has now blown over (photo 2)!

  • The road sign (a triangular warning sign) is still laying face down in the front border of No 12 High Street, fouling the owner's property and presenting a potential tripping hazard for passing pedestrians.
