Awful/ dangerous road surfaces

I am writing to formally request urgent repairs to the road surface and associated infrastructure on Dorrington Road and Arbury Avenue, SK3 0PZ, outside and around my property.

Over the past four years, I have witnessed a steady deterioration of the road surface. Currently, the road is cracked and covered in potholes. The curbs are uneven, with greenery growing between the curb stones. Furthermore, the ironworks along the street are inconsistently leveled, with some sunken and others raised above the road surface.

These issues are causing damage to vehicles and, more importantly, pose a significant safety hazard to pedestrians, particularly the elderly. I have personally witnessed and heard of instances where individuals have tripped and fallen due to the uneven surfaces.

While minor repairs have been carried out in certain areas, the overall condition of the road and street is worsening and requires comprehensive attention.

I urge the council to investigate this matter promptly and implement the necessary repairs to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and road users.
