Unfixed sinkages

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 13:52, Sat 3 May 2025

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7517539.

We had works done six years ago.. Was told topdressing to be done... It was done a few months ago... But not before sinkages in road were fixed... Rainwater gathers in them.. The ' topdressing' was just scattered chippings.. which idiots using the corner shop and others who don't know we are a cul de sac... Screech down, wherlspinnit.. turning round, sending it everywhere !.. dusty.. RIDDICULOUS !... Most of chippings gone down gulley drains !.. more possible blockages !... We need the road dips FIXED ..not patched or ignored...Garage business on road.. Needs to be safe for their customers too !.

Updates

  • Outside my neighbours house, over the road.. the sinkage on the road is evident... As it was to a car that got stuck in It last week, when trying to turn round... The front spoiler bumper wedged in to the near top edge of it !... Rear end on the path !.. My neighbour has mobility issues, and needs drive area clear for carers car... This could get stuck !.. The loose chippings shale is patchy... Bloody noisy when cars go on it NEEDS SORTING NOW !. If I knew you had a photo option... I'd have taken one !... I would like a resolution...

  • Had a message back saying they have inspected, and thinkmit does not need repair !.. Yes it does... As cars turning are scraping in to the sinkage... Rainwater collects in It... We are next to a garage business... If vehicles in and out of there are damaged... Complaints and claims will go in... It needs fixing... Not patching.. Is there subterranean problems causing sinkage ?.. This would not have been surveyed or inspected...
