Road resurfacing

Rossendale Road and Mayfield Drive underwent a total road resurfacing programme at the end of February 2025. It has become apparent after a number of holes have broken through the top layer that current evidence is that a lot more will appear, it’s only been two months and the resurfacing work is likely to prove ‘ not fit for purpose’ !

  • Rossendale Road and Mayfield drive had a road surface that had no issues dating back for as long as I’ve lived there ( over 30 years), RBC commission a resurfacing programme for both roads and within three weeks a lump of tarmac has departed Rossendale Road already, it will only get worse and more costly to repair as time goes by! Meanwhile there must be better roads in the Amazon jungle than Henley Road considering the state it’s been allowed to get into!!! Smoke mirrors and incompetence rule 🙄
