Overgrown hedge/tree/bushes

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 75159.

Very overgrown border/ bushes (particularly one very large buddleia). If not Council's responsibility, please advise and I will contact nearest house.

  • Any news on this one? Had a reply from East Herts DC same day saying not them, probably Herts CC. Have not even had an acknowledgement for Herts CC!! PS: Reported this by telephone to Herts CC about three weeks ago.

  • Have reported problem to Herts CC Highways Department direct and have received acknowledgement.

    I had a similar problem with the patch at the corner of Jasmine Drive and Vixen Drive.
    Both the county and district councils tried to pass the problem to each other. The aswer in this instance was that verges are County Council highways dept reponsibility. They subcontract the work to the district council, who in turn subcontract it again. However in your case it could be different.
