Dangerous tree
Reported via mobile in the Tree roots lifting pavement category anonymously at 10:18, Friday 2 May 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7513732.
A few months ago the council came and confirmed the tree was diseased / needed to be cut down or back and cordoned off the tree and put notices on cars to move from the road for them to complete their work. Unfortunately a parked car remained which meant they couldn’t complete. Since then no one has returned and large branches of the tree are falling off - the large one in the picture very nearly hit my 5 year old daughter. My husband contacted and nothing has been done however I would very much like someone to come back and look at the tree as a matter of priority. The path is damaged and debris falling is very dangerous. Thank you

We apologise on behalf of our service provider. Unfortunately, the tree contractor has claimed the work was completed. Upon review, we found that is not the case, and the contractor was issued a fine. Contractually, they are obliged to ensure they complete this work and we have now given this work to a different tree surgeon company. We are monitoring this case closely to ensure their compliance. Unfortunately, we cannot give a period as to when the works will be carried out, but we will continue to pressure for it to be done soon as possible. We aim for them to complete the works within the next 6 weeks.

We kindly ask that new and separate occurrences of issues are reported as new cases with unique reference numbers to avoid conflicting information or updates, especially if at separate locations. This helps us ensure smoother communication between all and helps us ensure that the correct information is given to our teams and contractors.
Please log separately issues regarding weeds, shrubs, footway surfaces, street and footway cleaning, handrails, fencing, streetlamps, potholes etc. via https://fix.bromley.gov.uk as a new report using the map marker and provide full location, details, and photos. Thank you.
