Elfuent apparently seeping from storm drains - sink hold developing

Reported via desktop by Jarvis Charles Hedley Todd at 10:29, Thu 1 May 2025

Sent to Mid Sussex District Council and West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7508512.

It appears that effluent / dirty wastewater is getting into the road drains (now blocked). Consequently, filthy water is pooling on the road outside residential properties and running down the road. This is all happening very close to our mains water supplies therefore significant risk of contamination. Smell becoming noticeable and concerns are for further public health risks to residents, walkers, cyclists etc. A sink hole now appears to be forming, and the effluent is pooling on the surface – this presents a potential danger to road traffic users.
