Updates

  • Thank you for your report, this is now being investigated. Information on our services and the timeframes we aim to respond in can be found: http://www.bromley.gov.uk/ fixservices

    State changed to: In progress

  • We have investigated this report and found the vehicle to be taxed; a taxed vehicle is a strong indicator of an interested party and therefore the vehicle is not considered to be abandoned at this time and no further action will be taken. You can check the tax status of a vehicle online via: https://www.gov.uk/ check-vehicle-tax. Insurance or MOT issues should be directed to the Police as Bromley do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence.

State changed to: No further action

  • As outlined at http://www.bromley.gov.uk/ fixservices untaxed vehicles cannot be impounded immediately, and Bromley must adhere to the grace period (typically one month) given by the DVLA before any action can be taken and then the timeframes for any tax warning served.

  • It’s now the first of June and the car is still here no tax mot or insurance
