Broken Manhole Cover in Verge

The Manhole Cover on what is believed to be a Foul Sewer Run is broken and has largely collapsed into the manhole. There is a danger that when cars are passing in narrow Church Lane that a car's wheel could tip into manhole. Manhole is located almost directly opposite the gated entrance to Chygwidden property in Church Lane, Lelant, TR26 3DZ. This problem has been marked by persons unknown with green spray paint some months ago when a separate inspection was being undertaken. Situation does present a danger to cars and pedestrians.

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 17:21, Thu 22 May 2025

  • Problem dealt with by South West Water after I contacted them. Cornwall Council could have taken this action in first place instead of sitting on their hands.
