I previously reported that this chestnut tree has become so overgrown as well as diseased that it has become dangerous for pedestrians. As you can see the branches are very low over the pavement and the roots and holly bush growth at the base now make it dangerous to stay on the pavement. Today I watched an elderly gentleman have to navigate his way off the pavement and onto the road, which in itself adds extra danger in case there are any vehicles on the road. I was told that an expert would come and see the tree, but this was in November. I am disappointed that it hasn’t been deemed as a risk. Please could this be reconsidered and the tree be pruned at least?
