Intersection of Widcombe Hill/Macaulay Buildings

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 14:27, Wed 23 April 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7470698.

New give way markings are positioned on a bend where the driver cannot see the side of the road where the oncoming traffic is to which the he/she should be giving way to. It has been very poorly thought out which is causing confusion and is having the opposite impact to traffic calming as once a driver is committed they quite often feel pressurised to speed up. I've noticed that the police have caught on to this and as a consequence have recently set-up mobile speed cameras to catch out those drivers who have been pressurised to speed due to the poor design.
