Overgrown hedges blocking pavement

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 13:21, Tue 22 April 2025

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7464973.

Overgrown hedges blocking pavement. Overgrown hedges encroaching onto public pavements can pose significant issues for pedestrians and local communities. When shrubs or bushes extend beyond property boundaries, they may narrow or completely block footpaths, forcing pedestrians to step onto the road—an especially dangerous scenario for:

Elderly individuals or those with limited mobility, who may find uneven or obstructed paths challenging to navigate.

People with disabilities, including wheelchair users and those with visual impairments, who rely on clear, unobstructed routes.

Parents with prams or strollers, who need ample space to maneuver safely.

Children walking to school, who may be pushed closer to traffic.
