Blocked drains along the whole road
Reported via mobile in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 13:19, Tue 22 April 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7464959.
All the drains along the A4260 Oxford Road from the Bodicote Flyover to Adderbury are still blocked. This morning a crew came round and cleared our not at all blocked drains in Cherwell Heights (which I am very grateful for) but I wonder why these blocked drains and similar on Bankside are not being cleared. A tiny bit of rain and the drains are full to overfilling. The actual kerbs need clearing of debris as well as as it's now hard for cyclists to use the cycle lane. Please prioritise the things that are actually being reported to you.

Thank you for your report. Oxfordshire County Council is responsible for maintaining approximately 120,000 gullies on the highway network. Gullies are cleaned in accordance with the County Council’s maintenance policy, and we operate a targeting program with a higher frequency of cleaning in areas at risk of flooding. Bodicote area is due to be visited to by our Gully Gang in July/August 2025 where all units within the village and surrounding will be attended to. Kind regards
