Pavement crumbling.

This was reported in late 2023 but sadly no progress and over the months of more vehicles not keeping on the road but driving over and onto the path ( This is one example of local rubbish collection vehicle last week and but other vehicles too).Such that now the manhole is broken and tarmac has gone around edged and is sinking into pavement and next will fail and cause a hazard to Pedestrians .

    Wow have to say very impressed with response.I had also escalted it to Virhin media as well as Via fix my street/Darlington Council.And the next day Virgin media arrived and installed a safety cover and then Darlington council engineer arrived today to check too.So it looks like its going in the right direction " thankyou fix my street" etc..

    Sadly after a very fast response from Virgin media/O2 to install a protective cover ( see pictures)there hasnt been any progress with a repair. But a positive is vehicles dont now drive over the foot path as its bright yellow :)

  • Sadly still no prgress in 3 months.. Have tried to contact Virgin media AND O2 via their community pages but no progress since the initial temp cover added.. this needs to be fixed please help !

  • Second protective cover installed.Stil awaiting actual work on repair of sinking manhole .sadly 4 months in :) ..but thanks to fast response from O2 Virgin media engineer who installed the rubber cover.fingers crossed permanent repair soon !!!
