Fly tipped waste building up
Reported in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 08:39, Thu 14 January 2016
Sent to Cherwell District Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 745605.
For some months now there has been fly tipped waste on the service slip road down from/up to the A34 at Wolvercote. This is not visible from the road but is clearly visible from passing trains. This dumped waste is getting bigger and is an eyesore.

I received a prompt response to my reported problem, but was told that this location is covered by three different local authorities. Therefore finding a solution (i.e. who pays!) was proving problematic. I see the waste every day as I pass on the train so I know it is not resolved. I'm awaiting an update from James Fairweather (Enforcement Officer) but have heard nothing since 22nd January. I suspect the financial responsibility remains in dispute.

Fly tipped waste is still there - gradually deteriorating into an even more unsightly mess. It seems the discussion about which local Authority or authorities is/are financially responsible has not been concluded. It's quite clear to me - the responsible party is the landowner. Get it fixed please.

Still not resolved. Don't know why - solution is simple - clear it up. If possible, through investigation (although I suspect that leaving it so long any evidence is deteriorating) prosecute the offender.

Still no progress. Waste is gradually rotting away, probably contaminating the ground. It remains,as ever was, an eyesore. It's also a disgrace that something like this is taking so long to clear up. 20 weeks ago I reported this. 20 weeks! JUST DO IT!
