Deep pothole in pavement

Reported in the Potholes category by Focus of Andover at 16:41, Wed 13 January 2016

Sent to Hampshire County Council 4 minutes later

In the pavement, adjacent to the road, is a large pothole, measuring 30cms wide x 45cms long x 15cms deep. If a pedestrian steps in it they are likely to break a leg. How the maintenance inspectors have missed it is a mystery; perhaps there aren't any inspections! It looks as though the damage has been present for a long time.

  • The response from TVBC was; "there is NO defect". They'd inspected it and confirmed there wasn't a defect. Case closed. I rang the roads department and discussed it with them stating that if they were prepared to stick by their decision; "Could we have a site meeting next day and I'd bring the local newspaper with me". They re-inspected the site and it was rectified next day!

    State changed to: Fixed
