Rough and rutted road surface on west side of The Hollow

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7452480.

I think that the road surface in question was repaired only relatively recently. There are now sections where the tarmac is like a series of mini-hillocks. A similar thing had happened at the junction with Stream Lane some time ago. Questions must be asked of the contractor who did the repair as to how this has happened - and hopefully get them to repair it again for free.

  • The road will be closed for repair on 29 May, I believe.

  • The potential for repair beginning 29 May was a false alarm due to a misunderstanding on my part. The road was closed for another reason. Original feedback from the council was: 'this carriageway is due for full length surface treatment in September this year'.
