Deep longitudinal cleft between strips of surface, Holyrood Park Road eastbound by East Parkside

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Andrew Lamberton at 10:57, Tue 12 January 2016

Sent to Edinburgh City Council 3 minutes later

At the seam between two strips of surfacing there is a deep (up to two inches) steep-sided cleft, which has been there for at least five years, steadily worsening. It's now deep enough to grab/tramline a bicycle wheel, just at the point where cyclists in the left-hand lane have to watch out behind them for vehicles in the right-hand lane ignoring the (faded paint) right-merges-to-left road markings. It's grabbed my wheel a couple of times now and I know it's there and try to avoid it.
