Only one lamp out of four is shining and this one is lit 24/7. Some of the glass/plastic is broken and liable to fall out. This iconic lamp is desperately in need of a bit of TLC. Alderman Richard Whittle who presented this lamp to the people of Crewe in 1880 will be spinning in his grave to see what a sorry state his legacy is in.
