Dangerous parking, obstructing path and damaged verge

Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 14:59, Mon 7 April 2025

Sent to Hull City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7400702.

The two vehicles parked on each corner of Sedbury Close have been left there for over a month. They obstruct access in and out the street resulting in several near misses as you cannot see if there's a car coming. Children play down the cul de sac posing a danger as drivers cannot see them. Also several residents have pram / wheelchair access needs and have to walk on the road. There seems to be no reason why these vehicles cannot be parked on the main road ( Kingbury Way) instead of blocking a small cul de sac

Updates

  • Council were absolutely no help, the dangerous parking is still happening blocking access for residents in / out of cul de sac. There have been several near misses, only a matter of time before there is an accident or a is child hit.

  • Council unable to take any action as there are no road markings? . Does not change the fact that it is illegal to park on a path , on a bend and on a junction. The vehicles are not registered on the DVLA and have no tax. Still don't understand how nothing can be done about such dangerous parking .
