Excessive Bins spilling onto pavement spreading litter down the street
Reported via Android in the Litter and Detritus category anonymously at 11:14, Sunday 6 April 2025
Sent to Bromley Council 3 weeks, 1 day, 3 hours, 17 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 7394770.
Hi there - we live at 11 Torr Road and over the past few weeks/months, there have been several bins behind 25, 26, & 27 Green Lane which have been building up and spilling out onto the pavement. Recently there has been excessive litter coming out of these bins and the wind has been blowing litter down Torr Road, all the way up to number 13. It's incredible unsightly and unpleasant to look at, but it also is attracting foxes which are defecating on the pavement amongst the litter (and their faeces are sometimes not so easy to spot/avoid). We've noticed that the waste removal trucks tend to avoid this part of the road and drive up Cottingham Road towards the High Street on their weekly route, meaning all these bins are not tended to as well as the bins on the rest of Torr Road which are between Kingsdale and Cottingham Road, so there always seems to be excessive litter, waste and recycling sprawled out over the pavement.

Lots of bins from Torr road continually put here which is for the use24/25/26/27 Green lane only. Torr road resident's are not using their own front gardens. There is also a large amount of fly tipping behind these houses including building waste
