No white lines or lane lines to turn right despite accidents

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 13:46, Mon 31 March 2025

Sent to Milton Keynes Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7364536.

For years the white lines have not been done here despite major crashes. There are 2 turnings into Westcroft/Morrisons from this road, people coming out and turning right which should be stopped as very poor visibility with drivers sat in a queue waiting to turn in so they often go out blind. There is a redway on the turning in so people tearing in our out of Westcroft in vehicles don’t even know people are in foot trying to cross safely! It needs to be 40 mph to stop the near daily misses, and actual accidents. There is a turn metres away into the Howe Park Education centre so lots of nearby junctions and turns yet still 60 mph. Please urgently review this to make safer for drivers and people on foot. Thank you. Please put new white lines in here as soon as possible, and the surrounding roads, that haven’t been done for years.

  • Witnessed a very near accident with a car tearing past the morrisons barnsdale drive exit onto V2 yesterday

    Still no white lines

STILL NO SOEED REDUCTION on an extremely busy road with the entrance to Parks Trust site opposite and multiple turning points ! A motorcycle came out of Barnsdale while someone turned into Barnsdale with a driver not slowing down approaching them on the H7 - it is STILL a 60 mph road! A near fatality for sure when the driver did an emergency stop. White lines and 40 mph needed urgently before yet more accidents and injuries as there have been many! Why isn’t this being done urgently?

  • People also crossing this road - children and adults, regularly, from Westcroft/Morrisons exit across to the Howe Park wood entrance - extremely dangerous. Still no white lines. Still no speed restrictions. Still near accidents throughout the day with so many people turning in or out of Westcroft on V2 and the road opposite entering Grounds Cafe/Howe Park woods car park. Lethal area!

  • Aparantely MK council do not look at this page - but it does not tell you this when you spend time adding important info to try to stop accidents. Sigh!

Because i added a photo after another accident on the H7 by Westcroft/Morrisons last month, they emailed me (for the first time) to say they do not monitor this page. Why have it then? And said in their email to use this link… https://mycouncil.milton-keynes.gov.uk/ service/ Customer_Services_Contact_Form
