Road markings missing
Reported via mobile in the General highways enquiry category anonymously at 19:08, Fri 28 March 2025
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7354608.
Since the tarmac was relaid at this busy junction not all of the road markings have been reapplied. In particular there are markings related to the pedestrian crossing missing. The junction was already hazardous for pedestrians with motorists failing to stop. It's even worse now with less visible markings. Additionally centre lines are missing. It's been two weeks since the roadworks, the painting needs to be done ASAP before there's an incident. Many school children cross here during rush hour.

Who's right of way at the junction? Is there a crossing coming up? Which is the left and right turn lane? It must be ok to park next to the crossing blocking the view. Bizarrely when I was taking these photos a car drove straight across the crossing while someone was on it!!

Still not fixed. Very poor response from Bristol City Council who are obviously not on top of their contractors performance.

6th May 2025. The road markings have still not been painted. This was reported after the resurfacing was completed back in March. Do the City Council not inspect the work performed by the contractors and sign it off as complete? I hope the contractors have not been paid for the work, or have they?
