Speeding traffic in a 20mph road

Reported via iOS anonymously at 15:47, Fri 28 March 2025

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7353697.

Traffic uses Greenodd Avenue constantly to avoid traffic lights at junction croxteth hall lane/oak lane. The traffic is speeding along Greenodd Avenue which is a 20mph road. The road gets particularly busy and dangerous during rush hour. Police have been out and said it’s a council issue.

Updates

  • There issue has not been fixed, additionally children who are residents play on the pavement here, vehicles of all sizes speed up and down the road which is a 20mph limit. Vehicles especially cars dont care what speed they are moving along the road, all it takes is for a vehicle to lose control or a child to run out and I dread to think what would happen. The council don’t care and neither do drivers who use the road to avoid lights at croxteth hall lane/oak lane.
