These traffic lights have been in position for months, as the road here has been reduced to one lane due to flooding damage. I use this route when cycling to work several times a week. Consistently, the time on green is not long enough for me to reach the traffic lights at the other end before those lights change to green. I am therefore frequently faced by cars travelling in the opposite direction who are entering the single-lane portion before I have exited it. I may be past my prime, but I am not particularly slow on my bike! Adding another 10 seconds or so to the time would probably be enough to solve the problem.
