Double yellow lines missing outside 1 grange drive

Reported via mobile in the Roads category anonymously at 11:55, Sun 23 March 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7321984.

For some reason the double yellow lines are missing outside 1 grange drive on Frenchay Road. so other residents who don't live on frenchay road are floating the law by parking in the gap and blocking the view for drivers and pedestrians coming out or crossing the junction of Grange Drive.

  • Subject: Request for Extension of Double Yellow Lines at Grange Drive Junction

    Dear Bristol City Council

I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding an ongoing traffic issue at the junction of Grange Drive and Frenchay Road. There is a noticeable gap in the double yellow lines at this junction, which some drivers are using as a parking spot. This is causing significant problems for vehicles trying to exit Grange Drive, leading to:

Reduced visibility for drivers pulling out of the junction, increasing the risk of accidents.

Traffic congestion, as vehicles are forced to maneuver around parked cars in a potentially dangerous manner.

Obstruction for larger vehicles, including emergency services and delivery vans, which struggle to turn safely.

I have attached photographic evidence showing the problem and its impact on traffic flow. I kindly request that the council considers extending the double yellow lines to cover this gap, ensuring a safer and more efficient junction for all road users.
