Glass recycle bin needs emptied & excess removed

Reported via desktop in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 13:21, Friday 21 March 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7314976.

These bins were originally opposite the Burgh Hall but moved (when it was fenced off) next to the library in Inchlee St. Not ideal given local residents got the associated noise, and glass bin emptying was never frequent enough, so recently moved to north side of library ie now directly affecting the library reading room in terms of noise. In addition, once again the glass bin is overflowing.

This new location is not clever. The overspill is dangerous for visiting children and does not exactly set a good civic example...

1) Please up the frequency of bin emptying - before we get more overspill, broken glass etc

2) Move the bins away from the library entirely, and have the now solo yellow grit bin still in Inchlee St join them else it's just multiple location issues. The obvious new location is the Victoria Park Drive South road inshot directly opposite the library (as shown). No-one uses that pavement.
