Speed Enforcement Camera Required

Reported via desktop anonymously at 20:13, Wednesday 19 March 2025

Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7306097.

Hospital Bridge Rd in Twickenham (TW2) has a 20 mph speed limit, but no enforcement measures in place. With a dual carriageway feeding directly into this road, most cars are still traveling at 40 mph before they realize they’re in a built-up area.

This is a serious safety risk, especially with young families, schools nearby, and children crossing multiple times a day. Without proper regulation, it’s only a matter of time before a serious accident happens. Installing a speed camera is a crucial step to protecting lives and ensuring drivers respect the speed limit.

Action needs to be taken before tragedy strikes, this road must be made safer for our community.
