Railing Missing on Park Perimeter

Reported via mobile in the Park safety issue category anonymously at 18:01, Wednesday 19 March 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7305600.

There is a railing missing on the Manor Road Play Area's main fencing perimeter. My 8 year old managed to fit through this gap, so it would therefore be dangerous and easy for smaller children to try and make a dash out of the park, even when under a watchful eye. In addition, unless it's pulled to, the gate seems to have lost its mechanism and isn't weighted/ doesn't spring shut. Again, this is dangerous, as children can easily leave and are in an open space, right next to the busy Manor Road.
