Lowered Kerb, potholes

Reported via desktop anonymously at 15:44, Wed 19 March 2025

Sent to East Lothian Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7304768.

When ELC introduce the new 115 bus on 6 April, this is the spot that people, including wheelchairs, will need to walk to get to the crossing, town hall etc. Its in a deplorable state, and the lowered kerb (bad picture) is too high to manage easily. I would suggest that you repair this section of the High Street prior to the bus change. I would also suggest that to make the lowered kerbs more easily accessible you raise this entire area, like a speed bump??

Updates

  • STILL NOT FIXED - East Lothian Council begun their replacement bus service a week ago. Wheelchair Users cannot use this stop. NO LOWERED KERB and POTHOLES EXCLUDE US - DISCRIMINATORY AND NOT ACCEPTABLE.

  • I notice someone has come and sprayed the potholes about three weeks ago, still no access for wheelchair users, and still dangerous for those with mobility issues. Unacceptable East Lothian Council.
