Need for double yellow line restricted on road parking

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 00:00, Wed 16 December 2015

Sent to Fareham Borough Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 729930.

Vehicles are parked, often both sides of the road, but especially along the north west curb of Thames Drive, specifically all too close to the junction with Hill Park Road. This may prevent vehicles safely turning right into Thames Drive from Hill Park Road. Also, the curve of Thames Drive, with vehicles travelling from the NE to join Hill Park, coupled with the visibility and space issues caused by the parked vehicles, means that from the junction of Hill Park to Thames Drive there is a significant head-on accident hazard. This is also a bus route, which makes the matter worse.

  • The issue is with the Fareham BC traffic and design manager, Mr Oldham. The problem needs investigating and like all BC's there is a 'resource problem' and a 'backlog' of other priority tasks. So, it's on the list. Think I'll go back and ask for some Hant Police Clearway cones as a temporary measure.
