Safety Concerns at Le Clare’s Dance School – Urgent Action Needed

Reported via Android anonymously at 20:59, Monday 17 March 2025

Sent to Newport Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7294351.

The situation around Le Clare’s dance school is becoming increasingly dangerous. Parents dropping off or picking up their children—often during rush hour—create chaos. Cars are frequently parked on double yellow lines, and parents often stand in the middle of the road chatting and smoking, showing little regard for moving traffic.

To make matters worse, many children exit or enter vehicles unsupervised, stepping straight onto the road. Interestingly, a significant number of these parents display blue badges, which raises some questions.

A practical solution would be installing bollards or railings to prevent children from running into the street, ensuring they remain on the pavement. This would also encourage parents to park safely in nearby areas where there is always plenty of space.
