Strange smells plastic and smoke
Sent to Darlington Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7258124.
We recently changed our dog walking route and noticed at various times of the day and even 6am and early evening strange smells in an area near Brinkburn nature reserve.
It appears to be a plastic burning smell and sometimes smells of smoke or burnt wood et ,we did see a large fire one time in one of the gardens so not sure.
Its strange as there are no large businesses in this location or its being blown over . One of my friends and dog walkers found an online air quality monitoring company called gradient air and one of these days we smelled fumes it this says the values were in red and classed as dangerous.I added a picture from website but i dont really understand all those numbers just my nose and eyes are telling me its not right.

Please help as its unhealthy and feel sorry for anyone who lives in this area with health issues.

The issue was quickly transferred to Darlington Environmental Protection Officers " thankyou fix my street" who were and ARE very helpful and have identified what maybe the issue and resolving this thru the relevant procedures and i am led to believe if need be under the legal powers the have . Other neighbors in this area have also confirmed there is an issue with local fires-who can open windows nor do their washing or even open windows for fresh air etc.So thankyou but ongoing !.
