Long narrow trench across road at crossing, VERY dangerous for cyclists

Reported via mobile in the Potholes category anonymously at 23:52, Monday 10 March 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7257950.

VERY dangerous narrow/shallow trenches left by road crew at Charing Cross road crossing (north west side, adjacent to Sauchiehall St) presenting high risk to cyclists, scooters, wheelchair users in particular as they are the perfect width to catch narrow wheels. I caught my bicycle wheel in one this evening and was very nearly thrown off in the middle of the road. As it is my wheel and tyre have been damaged. It is also a trip hazard for pedestrians. There are no warning signs and no attempt to provide temporary protection/ramp. This needs to be fixed ASAP to avoid anyone coming to harm and the crew responsible for leaving this exposed need to be given a serious toolbox talk.
