White "Stop line" added where it is not appropriate

This traffic signal is an advanced repeater signal for the traffic proceeding east bound towards the roundabout. There has recently been a white stop line painted across this point, which is not positioned in the correct place. The traffic signal is not for controlling traffic at this point but for traffic entering the junction many metres behind this point. Not only is there no traffic light to the left of the crossing, but there is no advance traffic light away from the stop line. This is causing traffic to stop in the junction causing traffic joining from the new housing development to back up onto the A48. This stop line needs to be removed, unless the junction is properly upgraded to include additional traffic signals. And signal sequence altered to allow right turning vehicles chance to move out of the junction before the traffic on the A48 can proceed.
