Hedges encroaching on the road

Reported via desktop in the Hedges category anonymously at 17:39, Thursday 6 March 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7237329.

This problem was first highlighted a year ago and since then nothing has been done. All the hedges along the whole length of the road are overgrown and scratching cars.I will now be putting in a claim for the scratches on my car

  • *Hedgerow Retention Notice urgent request, (see: modulus by Metheney & Clarke in note 1a ‘RPA function’ in BS 5837 (4):2012 p.11, agenda items 4.6.1-.3 a-d) - interesting tree constraints are clearly revealed in-situ, some have been recently removed to facilitate access onto Pyrton Lane, formerly retaining higher tier BNG (biodiversity net gain) & nature conservation value - negatives include significant structural decline and loss of cinsiderable amenity & aesthetic value constraints (After: agenda items 1.9-10 in The Hedgerow Regs. SI 1997/1160 p.9), (see: agenda items 3.6, 4.17, 7.1-30, 9.2 in Section 97 The Env. Act 1995)

Note: new lighting bulbs, assumed to be now above 3000 W have negatively impacted on the former, considerable Bat and other apex predator populations in-situ etc
